This part of the Terms of Use is specific to oiko.world members.
1. Information about oiko.world, the University of Warwick and using this website
1.1 The University of Warwick (‘we’, ‘us’) welcomes you to oiko.world (our “Website”), on which we facilitate the study of ancient civilisations and their connections where users can set up a oiko.world account, (the “oiko.world Service”).
1.2 This page tells you how you can set-up a oiko.world account to use the oiko.world Service (the “Terms of Use”). Please read these Terms of Use carefully before you set-up a oiko.world account, as once you set-up a oiko.world account and use the oiko.world Service you indicate that you accept these Terms of Use and agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to this, please do not set up a oiko.world account
1.3 We have general terms and conditions of use that you must abide by when using our Website and any services on it, including the oiko.world Service, and these should be read in conjunction with these Terms of Use. Please see our General Website Terms and Conditions.
1.4 We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our Website and/or a oiko.world account, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
2. oiko.world Account SET UP
2.1 If you set up an oiko.world account to use the oiko.world Service, you are warranting that you are a bona fide user.
2.2 When setting up an oiko.world account, you will be asked to provide a minimum amount of information before you can start using the oiko.world Service. This will always include your name, e-mail address and password.
2.3 Information provided on account set-up may be assessed by a oiko.world administrator and/or additional information or actions may be requested by us, before an account is activated and can be used. Following any assessment or requests for additional information or action, we reserve the right to refuse, at our sole discretion, any account request.
2.4 If an account request is refused the refused applicant may not use an oiko.world account or the oiko.world Service and should contact the person outlined in sub clause 7.1 if they have any questions regarding their refusal.
2.5 When an account request is accepted, you will be given a password, user name and/or other security information in order to access your oiko.world account.
2.6 We may disable any user name, password or account you have been given for any purpose, at any time if you have failed to comply with these Terms of Use or our General Website Terms and Conditions.
2.7 If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user name, password or any other piece of security information, you must promptly notify hello@oiko.world.
3. oiko.world SERVICE rules “Dos and Don’ts”
3.1 When using the oiko.world Service you will:
3.1.1 use your oiko.world account in a professional manner;
3.1.2 treat other users of the oiko.world Service with respect;
3.1.3 treat any user name, password or any other security information you are provided with as confidential; and
3.1.4 ensure that any information or material you contribute to your oiko.world account is accurate and updated as necessary.
3.2 When using the oiko.world Service you will not:
3.2.1 attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other users oiko.world account;
3.2.2 disclose your user name, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures to any third party or allow any-one else to use your oiko.world account;
3.2.3 maintain more than one oiko.world account at a time or create any spurious oiko.world accounts;
3.2.4 submit any information to your oiko.world account that is in breach of the content standards laid out in clause 5 of our General Website Terms and Conditions; or
3.2.5 carry out any of the prohibited uses in clause 8 of our General Website Terms and Conditions.
3.3 Your use of the oiko.world Service may be subject to other guidelines that we issue from time to time. We will inform you when any such guidelines are published and how you can get access to them.
4. Our liability
4.1 We are not responsible for any content posted on any oiko.world account by any account holder and the views expressed are theirs and not those of the University of Warwick.
4.2 We exclude all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage (including any indirect, special or consequential losses or any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, data or goodwill) that may result to you or a third party (whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise) arising from your use of the oiko.world Service or any content on any oiko.world account or any websites linked to any oiko.world account, subject to sub clauses 4.4 and 4.5.
4.3 The content we provide as part of the oiko.world Service is provided on an ‘as is’ basis without any guarantees as to its accuracy and to the extent permitted by law, and subject to sub clause 4.4, we exclude all representations and warranties (whether express or implied by law).
4.4 The Terms of Use do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
4.5 Nothing in the Terms of Use limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor for any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to limit, exclude or attempt to limit or exclude our liability.
4.6 You will indemnify us for any amount or kind of loss or damage (including any indirect, special or consequential losses or any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, data or goodwill) that may result to us or a third party (whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise) from your failure to comply with the Terms of Use.
5. Suspension and Termination
5.1 A breach of these Terms of Use could lead to a temporary suspension or permanent closure of your oiko.world account or any other such action as we deem appropriate in accordance with clause 11 of the General Website Terms and Conditions.
6. Changes
6.1 We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by amending this page.
You should check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we have made, as they are binding on you.

7.1 If you experience any problems with, wish to make a complaint or have any questions about your oiko.world account or the oiko.world Service please contact hello@oiko.world and we will respond to you within 10 working days.
7.2 If you would like to close your account at any time, please contact hello@oiko.world.
8. Other matters
8.1 If any part of these Terms of Use is unenforceable, this will not affect the enforceability of any other part.
8.2 These Terms of Use, together with any document referred to in these Terms of Use, constitute the whole agreement between you and us.
